Electric vehicles are undoubtedly the way forward, and with each passing year, automakers are adding more EVs to their product lineups. From established manufacturers to new players like Lucid, Rivian, and Fisker, everyone is actively developing electric vehicles. We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all the upcoming electric vehicles, from concept cars to production-ready models, that are not yet available for purchase but will be soon.
Alfa Romeo Giulia EV (Expected: 2028)

Alfa Romeo has officially confirmed that the gasoline-powered Giulia sedan will undergo a complete overhaul in the coming years, transitioning to an electric powertrain. The base version is expected to deliver around 350 horsepower, while the performance-oriented Veloce model will produce closer to 800 horsepower. The top-of-the-line Giulia, carrying the prestigious Quadrifoglio name, is anticipated to exceed 1,000 horsepower. This new Giulia will be built on the Stellantis Group’s STLA Large platform, offering 800-volt ultra-fast charging and a range of up to 500 miles. Recent rumors also suggest that the Giulia, similar to the Dodge Charger, may be offered with combustion engines as well.
Alfa Romeo Stelvio EV (Expected: 2027)

Before the next-generation Giulia hits the streets, Alfa Romeo will launch a new electric SUV. Like the upcoming Giulia sedan, the Stelvio will be built on the STLA Large platform and will be available with both electric and hybrid powertrains. However, the electric version of this SUV has been delayed and is not expected to arrive in the United States until 2027.
Alpine EVs (Expected: 2030)

Alpine, Renault’s French sports car subsidiary, plans to enter the U.S. market later this decade. This initiative was initially slated to be led by the compact A390, a sleek fastback crossover featuring a 470-hp tri-motor powertrain; however, the plans have since changed. The U.S. launch of Alpine’s electric vehicles was originally scheduled for 2027, but the imposition of high tariffs on imported vehicles by the Trump administration has caused Alpine to postpone its entry. If Alpine does enter the U.S. market, the company now states it will do so with the upcoming A110 electric sports car and a larger SUV.

Audi TT EV (Expected: 2027)

Audi plans to launch a new electric sports car in 2027, previewed by the radical Concept C. Audi describes the new sports car as roughly the same length as a Porsche 911, positioning it between the TT and R8 in terms of performance, and it will introduce a completely new design language. Inside, the Concept C demonstrates Audi’s renewed commitment to physical controls, and the concept even features a screen that can be completely retracted when not in use. While details on the powertrain remain sparse, the Concept C was designed as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, and we expect it to share a platform with the upcoming Porsche 718 EV. Audi has confirmed that the production version will also offer a dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant, and the concept is said to weigh 3,726 pounds.
Bentley EV SUV (Expected: 2027)

Bentley’s first fully electric vehicle will be revealed in 2026. The luxury automaker describes it as a “luxury urban SUV” that will slot below the gasoline-powered Bentayga in the brand’s lineup. Although Bentley labels the EV as “compact,” the new model will still possess imposing proportions, measuring up to 197 inches in length. The Bentley EV concept, dubbed the EXP 15, previews the production model’s styling, featuring a bold, squared-off front end, a long hood, and a luxurious interior. The electric SUV may utilize the same platform as the upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV, with sales expected to begin in early 2027. Based on trademark filings, we anticipate the production model will be named the Barnato, honoring one of Bentley’s early racers and executives from the 1920s. Further plans for Bentley EVs have been postponed until at least 2030.
BMW i3 (Expected: Late 2026)

The all-new BMW i3 arrives as an electric counterpart to the long-running BMW 3-Series. It adopts BMW’s new design language and is built on the same Neue Klasse platform that underpins the iX3 SUV. Featuring 800-volt architecture, it allows for 400-kW fast charging, while the 109-kWh battery is said to provide an estimated range of 440 miles. The i3 will initially launch with a single trim, the 50 xDrive, delivering 463 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The cabin features a radical new interior layout with a slim display running along the base of the windshield and a trapezoidal central touchscreen. U.S. sales are scheduled to commence before the end of 2026.
BMW iM3 (Expected: 2027)

The upcoming BMW i3 will also serve as the basis for the first all-electric M3. This M-branded variant, expected to be called the iM3, will be built on BMW’s next-generation EV platform, featuring 800-volt electrical architecture. A quad-motor powertrain with two electric motors on each axle is projected to generate well over 600 horsepower, ensuring the iM3 is appropriately rapid. The front motors can also be decoupled; while BMW states this is to improve highway range, we’re already fantasizing about some sideways action. BMW is also incorporating faux gear shifts and engine noises to enhance driver engagement, sampling everything from the V-8 of the E92 M3 to the 5.0-liter V-10 of the E64 M6.

BMW iX3 (Expected: Summer 2026)

The BMW iX3 arrives as an electric counterpart to the brand’s popular X3 SUV and debuts an unconventional new design language. The grille is a thinner interpretation of the iconic “kidney” design, reminiscent of classics like the 2002. The U.S. market will receive a dual-motor variant producing 463 hp, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. A 109-kWh battery is expected to deliver close to 400 miles of range and support fast charging at speeds up to 400 kW. The interior features a new dashboard setup where a thin dark strip along the bottom of the windshield acts as a 43-inch, full-width head-up display, replacing the traditional gauge cluster. A 17.9-inch touchscreen handles all primary infotainment functions. Sales will begin in the summer of 2026.
BMW iX4 (Expected: 2027)

BMW is developing an electric replacement for the X4, the sleeker alternative to the X3 featuring a sloping roofline. Expected to be named the iX4, this new “coupe-SUV” will exclusively feature electric powertrains and will be closely related to the iX3 launching in 2026. Like the iX3, the iX4 is also anticipated to spawn an M-branded performance variant. Production of the iX4 is rumored to begin in November 2026, with U.S. sales expected to start in 2027.
BMW iX5 (Expected: 2027)

BMW continues to electrify its lineup with the iX5, an electric counterpart to the mid-size X5 SUV. Instead of utilizing the Neue Klasse platform that underpins the iX3, the iX5 will employ an adapted version of BMW’s CLAR platform—currently used in the iX electric SUV.
