Full Video : #Cops #ResistingArrest #GroundTakedown part 2 The Future EV Landscape: What to Expect Before 2029 By Alex Chen Updated: Apr 21, 2026 The automotive industry is undergoing a seismic shift. For years, electric vehicles were a niche segment, a technological curiosity for enthusiasts. Today, they are the undeniable future. Nearly every major manufacturer—from industry giants like Ford and Mercedes to luxury players like Bentley and Genesis—is pouring billions into electrification. This isn’t just about replacing gas engines; it’s about reimagining the car entirely. The innovations we’re seeing are staggering. We’re talking about ultra-fast charging, solid-state battery breakthroughs, and cabins that blur the line between office and living room. But with so many announcements, it’s hard to track what’s real, what’s coming, and what might never see the showroom. That’s why we’ve compiled a comprehensive breakdown of the most exciting electric vehicles set to hit the market between now and 2029. From radical redesigns of iconic nameplates to bold new contenders, these are the EVs that will define the next chapter of automotive history. Alfa Romeo: Sporty Electrification Alfa Romeo is betting big on electrification, and their upcoming lineup promises to retain the brand’s signature blend of passion and performance. The Italian marque is moving away from internal combustion engines, focusing instead on high-performance electric powertrains that will likely carry the historic Quadrifoglio nameplate. Giulia EV (Expected: 2028) The Giulia sedan will receive an electric overhaul, moving onto Stellantis’ STLA Large platform. This architecture is designed for 800-volt ultra-fast charging and promises range figures of up to 500 miles. While the base model is expected to produce around 350 horsepower, performance enthusiasts can expect a Veloce version pushing 800 hp and a Quadrifoglio trim delivering over 1000 horsepower. However, recent rumors suggest Alfa may also offer combustion-engine variants, blurring the lines between traditional and electric performance. Stelvio EV (Expected: 2027) Before the sedan arrives, Alfa will launch an electric Stelvio SUV. Like the Giulia, it will utilize the STLA Large platform and offer both pure-electric and hybrid powertrains. Originally slated for a 2027 arrival, the launch has been delayed, likely due to increasing tariffs on imported vehicles. Alpine: A Return to Form Alpine, the sports-car subsidiary of Renault, plans to enter the U.S. market later this decade. The initial strategy focused on the A390, a stylish fastback crossover with a 470-hp tri-motor setup. However, due to high tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, Alpine has delayed its U.S. expansion. The company now plans to introduce its U.S. lineup starting with a revised version of the iconic A110 electric sports car, followed by a larger SUV. Audi: Redefining Performance Audi is leveraging its partnership with Porsche to build revolutionary new EVs. They are ditching the traditional TT identity in favor of a new nameplate that sits between the iconic R8 supercar and the current TT range. TT EV (Expected: 2027) Previewed by the radical Concept C, the new Audi sports car will be roughly the same length as a Porsche 911. Audi is embracing a return to physical controls, even incorporating a screen that can completely retract into the dashboard. While details are still emerging, the concept showcases a rear-wheel-drive setup that we expect to share a platform with the upcoming Porsche 718 EV. Audi has confirmed that the production model will also feature a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant, and the RWD concept weighs an impressive 3,726 pounds. Bentley: The Ultra-Luxury SUV Bentley’s first all-electric model will be unveiled in 2026. They describe it as a “luxury urban SUV” designed to slot below the Bentayga in their lineup. While internally labeled “compact,” it will still boast imposing proportions, measuring nearly 197 inches long. The design is previewed by the EXP 15 concept, featuring a bold, squared-off front end, a long hood, and a decadent interior. The electric SUV is expected to share a platform with the upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV, with sales slated to begin in early 2027. Based on trademark filings, the car will be christened the Barnato, after one of Bentley’s pioneering racers and executives from the 1920s. Further Bentley EV plans are postponed until at least 2030. BMW: Neue Klasse Reimagined BMW is undergoing a complete design and technological overhaul with its Neue Klasse platform. This next-generation architecture will underpin a range of vehicles, starting with the i3 sedan and iX3 SUV. The company is also committed to pushing the boundaries of performance with its M division, ensuring that the era of gas-guzzling M cars ends not with a whimper, but a bang. BMW i3 (Expected: Late 2026) The BMW i3 arrives as an electric sibling to the long-running BMW 3-Series, adopting the brand’s new design language and riding on the Neue Klasse platform shared with the iX3. With 800-volt architecture, the i3 supports 400-kW fast-charging, and the 109-kWh battery provides an estimated 440 miles of range. The i3 will launch with a single 50 xDrive trim, delivering 463 horsepower and 476 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. The interior features a striking new layout with a thin display strip running along the bottom of the windshield and a trapezoidal central touchscreen. Sales are set to begin before the end of 2026. BMW iM3 (Expected: 2027) The upcoming BMW i3 will also spawn the first all-electric M3. Dubbed the iM3, it will ride on BMW’s next-generation EV platform, boasting an 800-volt electrical architecture. A quad-motor powertrain, with two motors on each axle, should produce well over 600 horsepower, ensuring that the iM3 is appropriately rapid. The front motors can be decoupled to maximize highway range, but BMW is also planning faux gearshifts and engine noises to enhance the driving experience. The company has sampled everything from the E92 M3’s V-8 to the E64 M6’s 5.0-liter V-10. BMW iX3 (Expected: Summer 2026) The BMW iX3 arrives as an electric counterpart to the brand’s popular X3 SUV, featuring a distinctive new design language with a thinner interpretation of the iconic “kidney” grille reminiscent of classics like the 2002. The U.S. version will offer a dual-motor variant producing 463 hp, enabling a 0-62 mph time of 4.9 seconds. A 109-kWh battery is expected to deliver nearly 400 miles of range and support charging at up to 400 kW. Inside, the iX3 debuts a revolutionary dashboard setup where a thin darkened strip along the windshield acts as a 43-inch full-width head-up display, replacing the conventional gauge cluster. A 17.9-inch touchscreen handles all core infotainment duties. Sales will begin in the summer of 2026. BMW iX4 (Expected: 2027) BMW is developing an electric replacement for the X4, the sleeker coupe-SUV alternative to the X3. Expected to be named the iX4, the new model will come exclusively with electric powertrains and will be closely related to the iX3. Like its sibling, the iX4 is also rumored to spawn an M-branded performance variant. Production is rumored to start in November 2026, with U.S. sales commencing in 2027. BMW iX5 (Expected: 2027) BMW continues to electrify its lineup with the iX5, an electric counterpart to the mid-size X5 SUV. Instead of utilizing the Neue Klasse platform underpinning the iX3, the iX5 will ride on an adaptation of BMW’s CLAR platform—currently found beneath the iX electric SUV. This allows the gas-powered X5 to coexist with its electric sibling. The iX5 will feature a next-generation battery with improved energy density. The electric SUV is slated for reveal in late 2026 and U.S. sales in 2027. BMW is also planning a hydrogen fuel-cell version—co-developed with Toyota—which may arrive before the end of the decade. Caterham: Lightweight British Sportiness Caterham, known for its minimalist, lightweight sports cars, is expanding its lineup with an electric coupe slated for production in 2027. Project V (Expected: 2027) Caterham aims to enter the U.S. market with the Project V, a lightweight electric coupe powered by a 268-hp electric motor sourced from Yamaha mounted on the rear axle. The car features a unique split battery pack, with a roughly 27 kWh battery placed between the occupants’ legs and another beneath the rear seat. Caterham is targeting a 0-62 mph time of under 4.5 seconds and a price tag around $1
