Alpha Romeo Giulia EV (Expected: 2028)
Alpha Romeo is revolutionizing its iconic Giulia lineup with an all-electric powertrain. This eagerly anticipated model will feature a radical transformation in performance and efficiency. Sources suggest the base version will deliver around 350 horsepower, while the Veloce variant is expected to produce closer to 800 horsepower. The legendary Quadrifoglio name will return for the top-tier model, which is rumored to boast upward of 1000 horsepower.
The new Giulia will utilize the Stellantis Group’s advanced STLA Large platform, offering 800-volt ultra-rapid charging and an estimated range of up to 500 miles. Recent discussions have circulated regarding the possibility of the Giulia also being offered with combustion engines, alongside its electric counterparts.
Alpha Romeo Stelvio EV (Expected: 2027)
Before the next-generation Giulia hits the streets, Alpha Romeo plans to introduce the new Stelvio EV. Like its sedan sibling, the Stelvio will be built on the STLA Large platform and will be available in both electric and hybrid versions. The electric SUV has experienced some delays, with its United States launch now expected in 2027.
Alpine EVs (Expected: 2030)
Alpine, the French performance subsidiary of Renault, aims to enter the US market later this decade with a portfolio of electric vehicles. Originally, the charge was expected to be led by the compact A390 crossover, which featured a 470-hp tri-motor powertrain. However, the plans have recently shifted.
The US launch of Alpine EVs was initially slated for 2027, but the introduction of high tariffs on imported cars by the Trump administration has caused Alpine to delay its plans. If Alpine does enter the US market, the company now says it will do so with the upcoming A110 electric sports car and a larger SUV.

Audi TT EV (Expected: 2027)
Audi is developing a new electric sports car for 2027, previewed by the radical Concept C. According to Audi, the new sports car, roughly the same length as a Porsche 911, will slot between the TT and R8 in terms of performance and will usher in a new design language for the German automaker. Inside, the Concept C showcases Audi’s embrace of physical controls, featuring a screen that can be completely retracted when not in use.
Details on the powertrain remain sparse, but the Concept C was designed as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, and we expect it to share a platform with the upcoming Porsche 718 EV. Audi has confirmed that the production car will also offer a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant, and the RWD concept is said to weigh 3,726 pounds.
Bentley EV SUV (Expected: 2027)
Bentley will unveil its first electric vehicle in 2026. The luxury automaker has dubbed this model a “luxury urban SUV” designed to sit below the gas-powered Bentayga in the lineup. Although Bentley calls the EV “compact,” the new model will still possess imposing proportions, measuring up to 197 inches in length.
A concept car known as the EXP 15 previews the Bentley EV’s styling, featuring a bold, squared-off front end, a long hood, and a decadent cabin. The electric SUV may use the same platform as the upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV, and sales are expected to begin in early 2027. Based on trademark filings, we believe it will be called the Barnato, named after one of Bentley’s racers and executives from the 1920s. Plans for additional Bentley EVs have been pushed back until at least 2030.
BMW i3 (Expected: Late 2026)
The BMW i3 arrives as an electric sibling to the long-running BMW 3-Series, showcasing BMW’s new design language and riding on the same Neue Klasse platform as the iX3 SUV. An 800-volt architecture supports 400-kW fast-charging, while the 109-kWh battery is claimed to provide an estimated 440 miles of range. The i3 will launch with one trim, the 50 xDrive, sending 463 horsepower and 476 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. The interior features a radical new layout with a thin display running along the base of the windshield and a trapezoidal central touchscreen. Sales of the i3 are set to begin before the end of 2026.
BMW iM3 (Expected: 2027)
The upcoming BMW i3 will also spawn the first all-electric M3. We expect this performance model to be called the iM3, and it will ride on BMW’s next-generation EV platform featuring an 800-volt electrical architecture. A quad-motor powertrain, with two electric motors on each axle, should produce well over 600 horsepower, ensuring the iM3 is appropriately rapid. The front motors can also be decoupled, and while BMW claims this is to increase highway range, we’re already dreaming of sideways action. BMW is also planning simulated gearshifts and engine noises to enhance the iM3’s engagement, sampling everything from the E92 M3’s V-8 to the E64 M6’s 5.0-liter V-10.

BMW iX3 (Expected: Summer 2026)
The BMW iX3 arrives as an electric counterpart to the brand’s popular X3 SUV and ushers in an unorthodox new design language, with a slimmer interpretation of the iconic “kidney” grille that harkens back to classics like the 2002. The iX3 will launch in the United States with a dual-motor variant producing 463 hp, enabling the SUV to accelerate to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. A 109-kWh battery is expected to provide close to 400 miles of range and will support charging at up to 400 kilowatts. Inside, the iX3 debuts a new dashboard layout where a thin darkened strip along the bottom of the windshield serves as a 43-inch, full-width head-up display, replacing a conventional gauge cluster. A 17.9-inch touchscreen handles the main infotainment duties. Sales will commence in the summer of 2026.
BMW iX4 (Expected: 2027)
BMW is developing an electric replacement for the X4, the sleeker alternative to the X3 with a sloping roofline. Expected to be called the iX4, the new “coupe-SUV” will feature exclusively electric powertrains and will be closely related to the iX3 going on sale in 2026. Like the iX3, the iX4 is also expected to spawn an M-branded performance variant. Production of the iX4 is rumored to begin in November 2026, with US sales expected to start in 2027.
BMW iX5 (Expected: 2027)
BMW continues to electrify its lineup with the iX5, an electric counterpart to the mid-size X5 SUV. Instead of using the Neue Klasse platform underpinning the iX3, the iX5 will employ an adaptation of BMW’s CLAR platform—currently found beneath the iX electric SUV—allowing an updated gas-powered X5 to coexist with its electric sibling. The iX5 will feature a next-generation battery with enhanced energy density. The electric SUV is expected to be revealed in late 2026 and go on sale in the United States in 2027. BMW is also planning a version with a hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain, co-developed with Toyota, which may become a reality before the end of the decade.
